Louise Haigh grew up in Sheffield in the 1980s, in a single parent family under the last Tory government. She worked in the City for Aviva before being elected MP for Sheffield Heeley in 2015. In addition to a wide-ranging professional career she has also served in many voluntary roles such as a trade union shop steward for Unite, and as a Special Constable. She is currently a Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office, covering digital reform, the civil service and government transparency.
